Myoga of Newlands

Situated in the lush 6 acre gardens of the Vineyard Hotel (60 Colinton Road, Newlands) underneath the idyllic backdrop of Table Mountain, over the past 10 years Myoga (meaning Ginger Blossom in Japanese) has developed a world-wide reputation as one of the Cape’s finest culinary attractions. With its emphases on contemporary fusion in both its food and décor, Myoga has constantly won recognition from both home and abroad including Conde Naste Best New Restaurant of the Year, 5-star restaurant awards, and a recently won “One Plate” from the Gourmet Guide.

Vegan Menu:
Sweet potato: Pumpkin Seeds, Orange
Stuffed courgette flower: Mushroom Duxelles, Pine Nut Velouté
Confit Turnip: Dragon Cracker, Avocado, Smoked Tofu, Miso Caramel
Affogato: Matcha Tea, Lime Sorbet
Beet “steak”: Cashew Crumble, Verbena Oil, Crispy Kale
Hazel Nut Blancmange: Yuba,parsnip, Curry Leaf Crisp
Banana: Coffee, Chocolate Cake, Chocolate Sorbet

Opening times:
Dinner – Mon-Sat – 6:30pm – 10:30pm
Lunch – Tues-Sat – 11:30am – 2pm
