M’hudi vegan wines
Posted on 9 February 2012
M’hudi is a Setswana word meaning “harvester”. The company has been in existence and producing wine for the past 6 years in Kraaifontein. They produce good quality wines that have interested ethical and socially conscious partners.
Their product range comprises of a Pinotage, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and a Chenin Blanc. All of them suitable for vegans as they “do their bit” to preserve the environment and create healthier products.
In South Africa they supply Woolworths and a number of select wine specialty shops.
In the first 2 years of opening the wine business they entered into a partnership with Marks & Spencer in the UK where they provide wine (M’hudi Merlot and M’hudi Sauvignon Blanc) to over 200 of their stores in the UK. They have been in this partnership with them ever since. They believe this is due in part to the fact that their customers know that they can count on M’hudi to maintain consistency in terms of the product they offer.
M’hudi also supply Whole foods in the US through an importing company called Heritage Link Brands.
