New South african vegan options

What do all good South Africans need for their traditional Xmas Dinner? Homemade Christmas pud and a tofurkey of course!
Well, unfortunately we’ll have to ask Santa to sort out a delivery line of tofurkey from the USA in time for next year since it is still not available in South Africa. But what we do have is a new faux meat for you to try. The Pick n Pay home brand have launched Vegeteen Chunks, a 100% soy protein product, ideal for adding meaty substance to stews, curries, pies and pastas.
In Mpumalanga, vegan news comes in twos. We have just listed a second health store in White River, called The Health Shoppe, that’s suitable for vegan shopping. It supplies many standard vegan foodstuffs and also vegan cheese and health supplements.
Finally, on a festive note, we’d like to add some Christmas recipes to our vegan recipe section.
